George Bush: Endangered Species

"For more than 30 years, the Endangered Species Act has protected wildlife at risk of extinction. Now the Bush/Cheney Administration wants to make some serious changes to this landmark law -- changes that would eliminate vital checks and balances that are crucial to protect our wolves, polar bears and other imperiled wildlife.

Speak out now for polar bears, wolves and the nearly 1,400 species currently protected under the Endangered Species Act! Fill out the form below to urge your U.S. Representative and Senators to do whatever they can to stop this eleventh-hour assault on protections for our endangered wildlife.

We’ve provided some text below to help get you started, but personalized messages will be most effective. Please be sure to include any personal…

Jane,, you and I know a lot now about how the endangered species and other animals are being destroyed. Thank you for your articles that tell truth.

Speaking out, standing up for what is right, being the voice for our animals on this earth can do wonders. Write letters, send notes, contact congressman, congresswomen. Sign the petions - they do count, even though there is a mistaken belief that they have to be processed differently than online.

It is working together to ensure that we tell the media, the government that we will not stand back and allow this. Care2.com has many issues, petitions for wildlife - especially the wolves.

Please see Defenders of Wildlife - they have a new campaign which is going to make a difference. And your donation (I know the economic times are tough) could help. Even $5 can go a long way. Thank you.
