Emergency Evacuation Network
It always amazes me when I surf the Web and run across things I never knew existed. For instance, when I became a fan of Jericho, the drama series on CBS, I met many people who may be called Survivalists. They fascinated me because I had thought of survivalists as strange people. I was wrong.
I'm smarter now and realize how important it is to have advance preparation for many types of disasters. Not only would there be a need for food, shelter, water, and more in case of a disaster but what about our pets?
If you own a goat or goats here's the website for you. Goatworld.com is prepared. They offer an Emergency Evacuation Network to keep goats and livestock safe in case of disaster. There's a list of volunteers who will assist you if the need arises for your animals to need shelter.
For tons of goat information click here.
And, remember Season 2 of Jericho begins Feb. 12 on CBS.

This is great info, Jane. I know that since Katrina, lots more has been put in place to help people take care of their livestock in the event of an evacuation. I don't know any particulars though.
Thanks Briar. I'll try to get more info.
