Easter and Pets

"Easter isn’t such a treat for rabbits who are given as gifts or for the animal shelters and rabbit rescue groups tasked with helping them after the Easter glow wears off. Learn more about the care of these complex creatures and what you need to know if you’re looking into adoption."

"

Animal Relief and Rescue Fellowship is an organization that was formed in 2001. We are a

501(c)(3) non-profit organization. ARRF is dedicated to helping dogs and puppies located in the Washington County, Leland Mississippi area. Specifically, ARRF dedicates its resources to the abandoned and neglected animals at the Leland Animal Shelter. ARRF does not receive any federal, county, or city funds.

The organization has a very small group of volunteers (fewer than 7 total). We rely on YOUR donations to help us pay for dog food, medical supplies, and veterinary expenses. Yes, that is correct. There is NO city allowance for dog food. The only money allocated by the city and county is strictly designated for the animal control officer’s salary, maintenance of his city vehicle, and salary for a 20-hour per week worker to clean dog runs and feed the animals six days a week."

With Easter arriving, people have to be careful of impulsive buying of bunnies, chicks, and other novelties. Just as the wolf must be respected and known for its charactistics & limitations, so do these other animals that look so cute. Animal Rescue Leagues need support - need human help. Every little dollar helps. Great articles.

Thanks wolfie. Yes, impulsive buying of chicks and bunnies can be not a good thing.
